Recent Family Session

Big Lake Family Session Photographer

This is a recent family session held at the studio. I held off posting this one till after Mother’s Day, they were going to use some of the photos, as gifts and I didn’t want to “spill the beans”. I sure hope the Mom’s loved their pictures.

When we started to plan the session, we were considering an outdoor shoot, but decided on a studio session instead. It was a good thing, because with our unpredictable Minnesota weather, it ended up not being an outdoor kind of days, wet and cold. Good planning on our part.

I also love their clothing choices. They followed my suggestions; coordinated, but not matching. One pattern (not to wild) and colors build around that pattern. They look great.

I love the longer shooting area of the new studio. Family sessions were a challenge in my home studio, as my space wasn’t very deep. I lost about 3′ in width, which I miss, but the extra 5′ in depth, is a welcomed addition. No distortion, from being to close to the subjects.
