Schedule your no obligation consultation. The consultation is a chance for us to get to know each other, which is a huge part of a successful session. We will talk about your vision for the session and answer any questions you may have. We will go over products offered, how you want to display your portraits, and pricing. If this is your first visit, we can tour the studio. After the consultation, I will email you our session and product guide, a review of what we went over at your consultation. You are under no obligation to book a session during or after our visit.
You decided to book! The next step is to reserve your session day and time. A non-refundable retainer and your signed contract are both required to reserve your date and time. Session balanced is preferred one week before scheduled session. I am currently scheduling sessions Tuesday through Saturday. Saturday sessions fill quickly, so be sure to contact me for availability.
Reminder! Sign your portrait agreement and model release. Please note you are not place on the schedule until your retainer has been paid and contract have been signed and received.
Session Day! All the preplanning is done! Arrive at our studio (or locations) on your session date ready for a fun, relaxing portrait experience!
After your session is complete, we will schedule your in-person reveal and ordering appointment. Typically this takes place 2-3 weeks after your session. We schedule an hour time slot. Make sure to go back and look through your booklet to check which collections or products you are interested in purchasing.
Reveal and Ordering Appointment Day. This is the fun part! Arrive for your scheduled order appointment. We will go through your images together and narrow them down to your favorites. Once narrowed down, we will design something beautiful for your home. Choose a folio, album, a gallery wall, or a simple display, we will create the perfect artwork for your home. Make sure all decision making parties are present. You will be placing your order and paying for you portraits and artwork at this session.
Once you have viewed your images and selected which ones you want to display as artwork, I will start to retouch your images. Once retouched I will place your artwork order. Depending on what artwork you ordered this process can take 2 to 6 weeks. (Albums, books and folios can take up to 16 weeks.)
When your artwork arrives, I will do a thorough quality control check on them, and then contact you to schedule a pick up appointment.
Arrange a pick up time. This is the best part!!! Enjoy your portraits and artwork for years to come. Many families visit us from year to year to update their artwork as their family changes and grows. I love seeing you and your changing family!

We happily accept cash, credit cards (3% processing fees applied) and checks.
A retainer fee and signed contract are due at the time of booking to reserve your session date and time. Your time is not considered booked until both are received. The retainer fee is applied toward the cost of the session. The retainer fee is not refundable. You can pay your retainer fee by any of the above forms of payment. Please contact me if you would like to drop it of at the studio.
A healthy child is a happy child. Please contact me at least 24-48 hours in advance if your child is sick and you won’t be able to attend your scheduled portrait session. Although the retainer fee is non refundable, if your child is sick we can reschedule your session, and new retainer fee is not required. See contract for complete details.
Because of the custom nature of the images and products produced and sold by Laurie’s ShutterFlutter Photography, all purchases are final, and no refunds will be made. If there is a problem with your order, which is not any fault of the photographer’s, Laurie’s ShutterFlutter Photography will do her very best to rectify the situation, but is not obligated to exchange any products, or refund any payment put towards any products. All chosen proofs, are retouched and then are then prepared for print. Information about additional retouching can be found in your Guide.
Yes, Most products include digital images, they can also be purchased al la carte. Purchased images gives you the right to print images whenever you want. You may not sell your images for profit or publish your images without consent. I can not back the quality of any lab other then the professional labs my screen is calibrated to.
I prefer email, because I like to keep a tangible record of everything that we discuss about your session. I usually respond to emailed questions later in the evening after dinner and when my family has settled in for the evening (usually late in the evening and not convenient time for phone conversations). I like to give your questions my full attention which I sometimes cannot do if you catch me during the day. That being said, your always welcome to call or text me.
