Your baby is turning ONE. Want to do a memorable photo shoot? Let them have a ball eating up their very own birthday cake. Cake smash sessions is a fun way to celebrate your baby becoming a toddler.
Our cake smash session is also available for children ages 1-5.
What to Bring
Coordinating and Planning
A cake smash takes coordination on both our parts. I can coordinate the backdrop with your cake colors/theme, but please plan at least one month in advance so I have time to gather or make what is needed. I also have a 2 to 3 week editing schedule at times, so please keep that in mind when booking.
Fees cover the photographers time and talent, planning and prepping for your session, and professional editing.
As a photographer who cares about each client and their satisfaction, session fees reflect this custom experience.
A friendly pre-session consultation either over the phone or in person to discuss your session for a customized experience. In person is the preferred method.

Backdrop are from my current backdrop collection. Check out our backdrop section. There are so many cute and delightful options, it can feel a bit overwhelming! Whatever you decide, make sure it feels like you. You might go for something timeless that matches your home or pick a playful design that shows off your baby’s personality

In person ordering session approximately two weeks after your session, unless noted otherwise. All additional prints, artwork and files must be purchased at the viewing appointment.
Additional digital images and heirloom quality print products are available for purchase, but no further purchase is required beyond the initial session fees.
Personal printing rights
Please bring your child’s favorite toys, books, snacks, treats or drink to help them feel more comfortable at the session.

All sessions require a $50 RETAINER FEE to be placed on the calendar along with a signed contract. After both have been signed/paid, you are officially booked! The retainer fee is not refundable. You can pay by cash, check, or credit card. Please contact me for my mailing address if you would like to mail your payment.
Session fees are due three days prior to your session. Retainer fee is required at the time of booking. Please add 7.8750% Minnesota sales tax to all session fees, design fees and product purchases.
Rescheduling Policy: Please contact me at least 24-48 hours in advance if your child is sick and you cannot attend your scheduled session. Although the retainer is non-refundable, if your child is sick and we can reschedule your session within 14 days, a new retainer fee is not required. Thank you for your understanding.

Custom Sets are available for $550. Half the session fee ($275) is due at booking and will considered as your retainer fee (this is non-refundable), the remaining amount is due one week prior to your session. They include non-cake smash photos before hand, a custom themed setup made with cut outs, and a splash bath at the end. Includes 20-30 retouched images. Please note that we have lots of props in the studio and we may have everything we need to create your vision without an extra cost. Specific backdrop request (other then what is already in the studio) will be billed at cost in addition to the session.
Cakes are the responsibility of the client. Please read the tips below when ordering your cake.

All you have to do is fill out the Consultation Request Form and we can work out a time for your portrait consultation. All sessions require a non-refundable deposit. Deposits are a way for people who would like to work with me to show good faith and commitment. The deposit amount is $50 and must be paid when booking your portrait session. This deposit will be applied towards the total payment for your final service. The remaining balance is due before the start of your session. Cash only if you choose to pay the day of your session.
After your deposit is paid, you will be sent a link to the portrait contract and a questionnaire (if doing a phone consultation, otherwise we go over everything at your in person consultation) once completed your time and date will be added to the schedule.
